Full description
Close your eyes and imagine the landscape of Tuscany. Expanses of olive groves and vineyards decorate the Chianti hills.
Open your eyes and you find yourself in front of this postcard-perfect natural scenery. This is the backdrop for our horseback ride: in the company of an equestrian guide and other experienced riders, you will ride through the Valdarno.
A 2-hour ride, which you can enrich with a farm lunch!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Rendola (AR). I, your equestrian guide, will be there to welcome you at the stables!
On your arrival I will introduce you to my beloved horses. I will help you get on the saddle with English riding and I will check your level of experience to better customise the itinerary; I remind you that this experience is reserved for experienced riders. I will then hold a briefing to go over the main horsemanship concepts together before starting the horseback ride.
We will venture along a mostly unpaved route, close to the Chianti hills. We will ride among olive groves and vineyards, until we enter a forest. Along the way, we will admire the Torre di Galatrona, the village of Mercantale , and the hamlet of Cocoioni, famous for being an old Roman fort where Etruscan artefacts were found.
After about 12 km in the saddle, we will finally return to the stables. The horseback ride will last 2 hours; the experience will last 2 ½ hours in total. If you have selected the"walk + lunch" option when booking, you will be greeted on your return by a table laid with an appetiser, first course, main course, side dish, dessert, water and wine at theriding school's agriturismo.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied to the riding school by an adult.
A maximum weight of 85 kg is required to participate in this activity.
The excursion is of a difficult level and reserved for experienced riders who know and practise all gaits (walk, trot and gallop).
Other information
The experience is available from March to October and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying persons can stay at the riding stables-farm. Leashed dogs are permitted at the riding stables.
The"walk + lunch" option is available from April to September. If you have any food allergies and/or intolerances, please contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to communicate them.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
