The Valley of the Temples as you've never seen it. Riding a horse!
Take part in our ride through the archaeological park: in the company of an equestrian guide, venture at pace through the Mediterranean maquis until you reach the Temple of Concordia and other attractions in the area.
An experience of over 2 hours, to which you can add a tasty aperitif of typical Sicilian products!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Agrigento. Awaiting us will be our equestrian guide, who will lead us to his nearby stable.
Once at the destination, the adventure can begin: the guide will explain the basics of horse riding and provide the necessary equipment for the experience, with English or American riding.
When all participants are ready, we will set off on our horseback ride: we will venture into the Valley of the Temples Archaeological Park, following the historic paths once taken by the ancient Greeks. We will ride through bucolic scenery dotted with olive trees, almond trees, pistachio trees and other species characteristic of the Mediterranean maquis.
Riding with our trusty companion, we will reach the Temple of Hephaestus, the Temple of Heracles and the Temple of Concord; on the horizon we may even spot the Temple of Juno!
We will finally return to the meeting point. The walk will last 2 ½ hours; the experience will last a total of 3 hours. In addition, if the"walk + aperitif" option is selected, we will be welcomed at the stables with refreshments based on typical Sicilian products accompanied by an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 16 and over; children under 18 do not need to be accompanied by an adult.
A maximum weight of 90 kg is required to participate in this activity.
Other information
The experience takes place from January to December.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying persons can wait in the stables or visit nearby attractions such as the Valley of the Temples or the Agrigento seafront on their own.
No aperitif alternatives are available for people with allergies and/or food intolerances.
Dogs are not allowed in the stables.
