Do you know the history of the Segata Tower?
It is located on the border between Pisa and Lucca and you will learn about it during our horseback ride: in the company of an equestrian guide, you will ride in the Tuscan countryside around Filettole.
An experience of over 1 hour, discovering the area!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Filettole, a hamlet of Vecchiano (PI). We will be welcomed by the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure on horseback!
Having gathered all the participants, a 20-minuteintroduction will take place: we will meet the horse, proceed to saddle up and learn the basics of horse riding.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: initially we will ride on asphalt, taking an uphill road that leads to Castellaccio di Filettole. We will then enter a forest, accompanied by a panoramic view of Filettole, before entering the tall Mediterranean scrub that characterises the area.
We will then reach the Segata Tower, the destination of our walk: this tower, which marks the border between Pisa and Lucca, became a symbol of the war between the two cities and was destroyed on the side of the losing faction. Yes, up here we will have a clog in the province of Pisa and a clog in the province of Lucca!
We will finally return to the meeting point. The horse ride will last 1 hour and 10 minutes; the total experience will last 1 ½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult in the riding hall.
A maximum weight of 90 kg is required to participate in the activity.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for first-time horse riders.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed when a minimum number of 2 participants is reached.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund!
