With their gentle ups and downs and the colours of vineyards and hazelnut groves, the Asti hills look like something out of a painting. How about exploring them on horseback?
Get ready to ride along nature trails with an expert guide, who will help you - literally - take your first steps into the world of horse riding.
Choose the duration of your ride(1 or 2 hours) and set off on your adventure!
What we will do
The appointment is at the riding school located a few minutes from Asti, 20 minutes before the indicated time.
Here you will meet your guide and have time to make friends with the horse that will accompany you on the ride. You will be able to brush him, prepare him with the saddle and get in tune with this splendid animal.
If you are inexperienced, before setting off you will spend a few minutes in the practice ground to learn the main commands and become familiar with the horse. For the more experienced, on the other hand, you will go straight out for a ride.
The guide will choose the route according to the level of the group, favouring dirt tracks with as little asphalt as possible. You will cross gentle ups and downs, forest paths, vineyards and hazel groves. With any luck, you might even spot some wild animals, such as deer, during the tour.
The sounds of the forest, the wind in the leaves and the sound of hooves on the ground will invite you to slow down and reconnect with the nature around you. Your guide will lead you to the most beautiful vantage points from which to admire the enchantment of the Asti hills. If you wish, he will take souvenir photos for you, which he will send to your mobile phone after the activity.
The duration of the walk will be 1 or 2 hours, to be chosen at the time of booking.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable from the age of 14. Minors must be accompanied by an adult on the ride if they have no previous riding experience.
No experience is required: the guide will adapt the route according to the participants' level.
The maximum weight for participation is 120 kg.
Other information
The activity takes place all year round.
Saddles for American or English riding are available.
Any accompanying persons can wait in the riding hall during the activity; there is a heated clubhouse for the winter and a gazebo for the summer. Dogs may enter the riding stables on a leash.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport (bus stop 1 km away). Free parking is available on site.
