An equestrian adventure in the forests of Sila? Tell me more.
Come horse riding in San Giovanni in Fiore, in the province of Cosenza, and discover a verdant and unspoilt Calabria .
In the saddle of your steed, you will explore the most beautiful views of the Sila National Park for 1 hour, followed by an expert equestrian guide.
What we will do
The appointment will take place at the meeting point in Vallepiccola, a hamlet of San Giovanni in Fiore (CS).
Awaiting us will be our equestrian guide and horses, already saddled, ready to accompany us on our adventure through the forests of Sila. The guide will follow us on horseback, and in the case of very young riders, will be available to support them on foot using a longhorn.
We will have one guide for every 4 participants approximately, guaranteeing full supervision and maximum safety during our walk.
After an initial introductory part lasting about 10 minutes, during which we will learn about horses, types of riding, different saddles andequipment, we will be ready to start our walk.
We will enter the beautiful Sila National Park, admiring the splendid expanses of Laricio pine that characterise the flora of this area. A uniquely beautiful valley will open up before our eyes, giving us an unforgettable glimpse of Montenero, a Calabrian peak 1881 metres high.
Amidst mule tracks, comfortable paths already marked out and a few gentle slopes, we will continue our horseback ride of about 5 km in length and lasting about 1 hour, at the end of which we will return to the stables.

The activity is suitable for everyone from 10 years of age.
Children under the age of 18 can only participate if accompanied by an adult.
Other information
The activity is available all year round, and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 2 participants.
Both English andAmerican riding will be used for the ride.
Any accompanying persons may stay in the riding stables' relaxation area.
Leashed dogs are allowed at the riding stables.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; free parking is available on site.
