My name is Marlon, and I really enjoyed my first time.nnLearning to ride a horse was a great experience. Especially as it was just me and the guide.nThe concept of creature-to-creature compatibility to guide one another through a specific task.nThe guides were very helpful; they taught me that pulling on the reins meant ‘stop’, and applying firm pressure with my legs against the horse’s flanks meant ‘keep moving’; pulling the reins to the left meant ‘left’, and to the right meant ‘right’. Pulling gently on the reins meant ‘slow down’, whilst brushing them meant ‘be careful’ on both uphill and downhill slopes.nTo my eyes, Gina was the largest horse, with a broad back, deep chest and a noticeably more powerful neck than the four others nearby. nnGina put me to the test as we rode down along rivers and through dense trails, adding her own personality to the ride – it was far from a perfectly rehearsed affair, but her quirkiness made it all the better.nnI loved the ride and would definitely go back 😊
