Full description
To catapult yourself into the past and feel as if you were in the Old West, take a horseback ride to Linguaglossa, through the countryside of this part of Sicily.
During theone-and-a-half-hour excursion, you will discover unmissable naturalistic glimpses and become familiar with a tame and intelligent horse, thanks also to the advice of the guide who will accompany you.
Amidst olive groves, mountainous stretches and wild torrents, the horse riding adventure is served!
What we will do
The appointment is in Linguaglossa, in the province of Catania.
Once we arrive, we will be welcomed by the equestrian guide, who will explain the route we are going to take, how to get on horseback, and how to stay in the saddle along the entire route.
After the briefing, we will venture on horseback along a dirt and then asphalted path to the Oliva stream bed. We will follow the course of the torrent on horseback and proceed at pace for 6-7 km through the Linguaglossa countryside, in a landscape characterised by olive groves and cultivated fields, not far from Etna Park.
We will also have the opportunity to see an ancient palmento used for traditional wine production, before heading back the same way we came.
The activity will last an hour and a half in all.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, even beginners. The guide can adapt the itinerary according to the participants' level of experience.
The minimum age for participation is 10 years. Minors must be accompanied by a parent.
The maximum permitted height is 1.85 metres and the maximum weight is 90 kg.
After confirming your booking, you must inform the organisers of your height and weight, whether you are pregnant and whether you have a back condition.
Other information
Caution! Itinerary and duration may vary at the guide's discretion. Especially in August, due to the high temperatures, the experience may take place at a higher altitude.
The horseback ride can be booked all year round, every day. The activity will be confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
The type of riding is English-style.
The ranch cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
