Full description
If you like horses but have little experience and would like to measure yourself against a new test, join us for a one-hour ride through the hills, vineyards and olive groves of Montaione, in the province of Florence.
Inside the arena you can make friends with your horse and learn the basic commands, then leave the ranch with your guide and begin your adventure in the saddle.
We don't promise that you will learn to ride like a cowboy, but you will certainly want to try again!
What we will do
We will meet at my ranch in Montaione (FI) at the time chosen for the walk.
We will start with a 10-minute briefing inside the arena, in which I will explain how to interact with the horse to gain its trust, how to sit correctly and the basic commands for the walk.
Only after you have gained the necessary confidence will we be ready to leave the arena. The approximately 5 km-long route will take us past vineyards, olive groves and truffle fields in the surrounding area. We will pass by a farm that produces Chianti wine, proceeding at pace on wide, unobstructed country roads.
A romantic hilly landscape will frame our horseback ride. If we are lucky, along the way we may encounter roe deer, fawns, pheasants and other animals that live in an area set aside for the repopulation of wildlife.
At the end of the trail, we will return to the stables. The experience lasts a total of 1 hour, including briefing and walk.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 14. Minors may also participate unaccompanied by an adult.
No horse riding experience is required, as the course is designed for beginners.
The maximum weight the horses can carry is 95 kg.

The activity is available all year round, every day except Monday, and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 participants .
The riding is American-style, with quarter horses.
The riding school cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
