Get ready to meet your new family: horse riding at Castello di Poppiano, in the province of Florence, will be much more than a simple activity in contact with nature.
Immerse yourself in the cosy atmosphere of a family-run ranch and you will discover all the passion for horses handed down from father to son, and then ride at your own pace through the colours of the Tuscan countryside, through magical woods, vineyards, hills, discovering a castle and a small lake.
The saddle is waiting for you, and so are we!
What we will do
We will meet at the ranch in Montespertoli (FI), 10 minutes before the time indicated at the time of booking.
Ivan will be waiting for us, ready to welcome us immediately in awarm and familiar atmosphere, that of his ranch, born of his love and passion for nature and animals. We will begin with a small briefing to learn how to ride a horse and become familiar with this majestic and generous animal.
We will then set off on our leisurely walk at the pass. Our guide on horseback will lead us along a magical grove, through vineyards, olive groves and hillsides, in a landscape capable of instilling extreme peace and relaxation.
Accompanied by the sound of hooves and the chirping of birds, we will continue our immersion in the Tuscan countryside, climbing towards the Castello di Poppiano, one of the most beautiful and important historical buildings in the area. From the castle we will then head towards a small lake, where we will enjoy a wonderful panorama of the hills. During the excursion, souvenir photos will be taken of the participants, which will then be sent to everyone's telephone.
We will then take the return route, returning to the ranch after 12 km and 2 hours in the saddle. Before saying goodbye, we will refresh ourselves with coffee, water or juice, in a true spirit of sharing and love of nature.
The activity will last 2½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, including beginners, from the age of 14.
Minors may take part in the walk unaccompanied by a parent.
Participants must enjoy good mobility and have a maximum weight of 95 kg.

The activity takes place all year round, from Monday to Saturday.
The mount used is the American mount .
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
To activate the daily insurance, after completing the booking, you must inform the guide of: name, surname, date and place of birth, residence, tax code (for Italians) , passport number (if foreigners) .
To participate in the activity you must wear trainers or boots with a smooth sole (no flip-flops, sandals or high-heeled shoes) . In the event of unsuitable clothing, the activity will not be possible and you will not be entitled to a refund.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
