Private balloon flight in Pienza and Val d'Orcia

It will be an incredible thrill to be carried away by the wind on board the wicker basket, enveloped in the tranquillity and silence of dawn as the hot-air balloon rises into the sky.

During the hour-long flight, you will admire from above the landscapes of the Val d'Orcia, a land of rare beauty that combines history, nature and tradition, and Pienza, nestled in these rolling hills, with its splendid piazza and historic palazzi.

Upon landing, a delicious refreshment with samples of pecorino cheese and a bottle of prosecco. Cheers to an extraordinary experience!

What we will do

The appointment is at first light near Pienza, in the province of Siena (we will inform you of the exact time the day before the activity).

We will welcome you and accompany you to your private hot-air balloon and, with the first light ofdawn, we will start inflating the balloon. When everything is ready, we will hold a short briefing in which we will give you some pointers on how to enjoy the experience safely, and then we will enter the wicker basket one by one.

Once up in the air, the wind will choose the direction of our journey through the sky, which is why each flight is unique and unrepeatable. From above, we will be able to admire the unique landscape of the Val d'Orcia made up of rolling hills, cultivated fields, vineyards and olive groves.

Depending on the wind, we will also fly over Pienza, a jewel set in the Tuscan hills. You will see its splendid square, palaces steeped in history, and charming alleyways. After about 1 hour of flying, it will be time to land.

At the landing point, a table with a refined mise en place awaits you. On top, you will find a bottle of prosecco in a silver-plated ice tray, crystal glasses with which to toast to the experience you have just had, snacks and pecorino cheese.

Finally, our staff will take you back to the take-off point in a private Land Rover Discovery jeep, while the crew deflates the balloon.

The total duration of the experience, including briefing, balloon inflation and refreshments will be 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone over 130 cm tall. Theminimum age requirement is 8 years.

For safety reasons, flying is not allowed for pregnant women, people with reduced mobility or injuries that prevent them from moving independently in and out of the wicker basket, people with heart problems, and people who have recently undergone invasive surgery.

Other information

The flight takes place all year round. In order to guarantee the safety of the flight, there must be favourable weather conditions, which is why the pilot will give you confirmation the day before of the flight's feasibility.

Important: The take-off time may vary depending on the period chosen. On the day before the activity, you will receive confirmation of the time and location.

Small items may be carried on board in a pouch. Backpacks and large cameras are not permitted, but it is possible to film with smartphones and small cameras.

Animals are not allowed on board the hot-air balloon.

Comfortable clothing and flat shoes
