Hot-air balloon flight in Sirmione with breakfast

Lake Garda has plenty of beautiful vantage points. This one, however, beats them all.

In Sirmione, you’ll board a hot-air balloon with an experienced pilot for a flight lasting around one hour at the first light of day. As the sun rises, you’ll see the lake and its famous peninsula as you’ve never seen them before.

Then it’s back down to earth. With a view to remember, a hearty breakfast and your certificate marking your first hot-air balloon flight.

What we will do

Please meet at the meeting point in Sirmione (BS) at the time selected when booking and confirmed by email one or two days before the activity. We’ll leave our own cars behind and board the organisers’ vehicles, travelling for around 10 minutes to reach the private launch site.

We’ll watch the hot-air balloon being inflated – a magical moment as the enormous balloon slowly takes shape before our eyes. Meanwhile, the pilot will explain the safety rules and how to board.

Once ready, we’ll take off for a flight lasting about 1 hour. The hot-air balloon will rise slowly and, metre by metre, Sirmione and Lake Garda will unfold beneath us. We’ll see the famous peninsula emerge from the water, the shores recede further and further, and the lake glisten with the sun’s first reflections.

Up here, there are no engines and no rush: just the silence of flight, interrupted now and then by the burner, and the landscape slowly changing beneath our feet. The wind will determine our course, whilst the air currents will gradually carry us away from the water to ensure maximum safety.

After a gentle landing, we’ll watch as the balloon is recovered and packed away, before boarding the organiser’s vehicle to return to the take-off point. We’ll round off the morning with a breakfast of sweet and savoury nibbles, wine or prosecco, and receive our certificate marking our first hot-air balloon flight.

Including preparation, the flight, travel, the final breakfast and the presentation of the certificate, the activity lasts approximately 3 hours in total.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone aged 10 and over, with a minimum height of 150 cm. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

There is no maximum weight limit. However, once you have booked, you will need to provide the organiser (you will receive their contact details by email) with your name, your weight and the weights of any other participants, for organisational purposes and to prepare your first flight certificate.

Pregnant women, people with cardiovascular or pulmonary conditions, those suffering from osteoporosis, mental health conditions, or those with prosthetic limbs or walking difficulties are not permitted to fly. Furthermore, it is forbidden to fly whilst under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and anyone who has engaged in diving activities within 24 hours prior to the flight is also prohibited from flying.

The activity takes place all year round on the dates shown in the calendar and is confirmed once a minimum of 5 participants has been reached.

Important: the flight times shown on the calendar are approximate and may vary depending on weather conditions. A few days before the activity, you will receive an email from the organisers confirming the time and address. Always check your email before setting off!

As this is a flight near the lake, safety is our top priority. Should wind and air current conditions not be optimal at the time of the on-site assessment, the activity may be postponed and rescheduled for another date at no extra cost.

You are allowed to bring mobile phones and cameras on board to take photos and videos. However, you may not bring rucksacks or bulky bags on board.

Pets are not permitted on board the hot-air balloon.

The meeting point is accessible by public transport; free parking is available on site.
