Hot air balloon flight in Pienza and Val d'Orcia

The Val d'Orcia is a land of rare beauty where history, nature and tradition intertwine.

Discover it from a new perspective with a group flight in a hot-air balloon: aboard the wicker basket, you will be enveloped in the tranquillity and silence ofdawn as the hot-air balloon soars into the sky and follows the path dictated by the wind for about an hour.

The view will be spectacular: the landscape of rolling hills, cultivated fields, vineyards and olive groves will leave you breathless, as will Pienza, an authentic jewel set in this paradise.

And it doesn't end there: upon landing, you will celebrate this special moment with a toast accompanied by the famous pecorino cheese. The flight will last about an hour, but the emotions and memories will remain forever!

What we will do

We will meet at the take-off point near Pienza, in the province of Siena, around first light (we will inform you of the exact time the day before the activity).

We will welcome you and accompany you to the hot-air balloon and, with the first light ofdawn, we will start inflating the balloon. When everything is ready, we will hold a short briefing in which we will give you some pointers on how to enjoy the experience safely, and then we will enter the wicker basket one by one.

Once up in the air, the wind will choose the direction of our journey through the sky, which is why each flight is unique and unrepeatable. From above, we will be able to admire the unique landscape of the Val d'Orcia made up of rolling hills, cultivated fields, vineyards and olive groves.

Depending on the wind, we will also fly over Pienza, a jewel set in the Tuscan hills. You will see its splendid square, palaces steeped in history, and charming alleyways.

After about 1 hour of flying, it will be time to land. At the landing point you will find a table laid with a bottle of prosecco to toast the experience you have just had and some snacks.

Finally, we will take you back in a shared car to the take-off point, where you will have left your car, while the crew takes care of deflating the balloon.

The total duration of the experience, including briefing, balloon inflation and refreshments will be 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone over 130 cm tall. Theminimum age requirement is 8 years.

For safety reasons, flying is not allowed for pregnant women, people with reduced mobility or injuries that prevent them from moving independently in and out of the wicker basket, people with heart problems, and people who have recently undergone invasive surgery.

Other information

The flight takes place all year round on the days indicated in the calendar. In order to guarantee the safety of the flight, there must be favourable weather conditions, which is why the pilot will give you confirmation the day before the flight's feasibility.

Important: The take-off time may vary depending on the period chosen. The day before the activity, you will receive confirmation of the time and meeting place.

The flight is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 4 participants.

It is possible to carry small items on board in a pouch. Backpacks and large cameras are not permitted, but it is possible to film with smartphones and small cameras.

A maximum of 5 people can be booked to ensure activity on the same balloon. If your group consists of 6 or more people, please contact us in private: we will do our best to meet your needs!

Animals are not allowed on board the balloon.
