Do you know a treasure when you have it under your feet?
Hidden in the heart of the Langhe is one of Italy's most precious treasures: the truffle. But finding it requires more than attentive eyes... you need sniffing, experience and a four-legged companion with an infallible nose!
Take part in a real truffle hunt in Monforte d'Alba, guided by an expert Trifolau and his inseparable dog. You will discover the secrets of this mysterious underground mushroom, walking through woods and neat rows and listening to tales steeped in tradition.
What we will do
The meeting will be at 10 a.m., directly in Monforte d'Alba. Our Trifolau will welcome us with a brief introduction: a fascinating journey through curiosities about the white and black truffle, the seasons in which it grows, and the secrets of this territory, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Then the real adventure will begin: a walk of about 1 hour and 45 minutes through woods, hills and vineyards, suitable for everyone, as long as they are sure-footed (and comfortable shoes!).
During the search, a trained dog will guide us through the aromas of nature, while the Trifolau will continue to tell anecdotes and curiosities: where the truffle grows, when the prized white truffle is found (in autumn), and why the black truffle is a faithful companion all year round.
Once the hunt is over, we will return to the starting point where a tasty surprise based on local products will be waiting for us: the perfect way to end this experience on a high note!
The truffle hunt will last approximately 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children under the age of 18 can only participate if accompanied by a responsible adult.
The activity is not suitable for people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility. The route is not practicable with a pushchair.

The activity is available all year round and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
At the end of the activity, it will be possible to purchase the truffles found.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport, while free parking spaces are available on site.
Dogs are not allowed.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
