A wonderful experience with Luna and her owner!
A wonderful experience: Luna is an expert; it was lovely to witness the joy Gigi took in her work. The tour, meal, wine and hospitality exceeded our expectations. We’re new to the region and would have appreciated knowing the distance and cost of the taxi journey far enough in advance to allow us to hire a car. Despite this, it was a fantastic tour and comes highly recommended!

This activity was the highlight of my three weeks in Tuscany. Luigi (Gigi) explained everything involved in truffle hunting, from training his lovely dog, Luna, to where and how truffles grow, and the impact of the climate. Chiara, our knowledgeable guide and interpreter, was excellent, not only in terms of translating, but also in providing insight into other aspects of Italy. The hunt was very exciting; when Luna started digging, Gigi ran over to her, shouting, “Luna, porta!”, then knelt down beside her to accept the prized truffle that Luna had unearthed. nAfter a very successful hunt, we gathered together, joined by Vincenzo, the winery’s founder, his wife and daughter, Gabriella, where we enjoyed generous portions of antipasti and Nebbiolo and Barolo wines in the warm company of this lovely family. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, Vincenzo serenaded us with a song. Unforgettable!

A fantastic experience in the heart of the Langhe!
Yesterday morning’s truffle hunt in Monforte d’Alba was truly unforgettable! Witnessing the perfect rapport between the truffle hunter and his dog, and the thrill of the find in the autumnal woodland, was simply magical. The guide shared lots of anecdotes and interesting facts with great enthusiasm. A truly authentic experience and highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

Truly authentic, informative and fun!
We were taken on a proper truffle hunt. Not only did we learn a great deal, but we also experienced the thrill of finding the truffles. Being able to touch and smell our finds was the highlight. And the breakfast afterwards was a lovely bonus!

You absolutely must try this!!
A wonderful experience; Mr Bruno was very welcoming and his sense of humour made it a really convivial occasion. The ‘trifolau’ breakfast, which we all enjoyed together using local produce, was also excellent.
