Full description
Did you know that you can practice a beautiful water sport just a stone's throw from Milan? It is kayaking!
Learn to move around in a paddle boat by taking a basic course on the Naviglio Grande, in Trezzano/Gaggiano. A federal instructor will teach you the basic techniques to make you autonomous in kayak handling by the end of the course.
The course lasts a month with bi-weekly frequency: every Tuesday and Thursday at 19:00 for 50-minute lessons.
What we will do
This basic kayaking course takes place in the south-west of the Milan metropolitan area, specifically in Trezzano sul Naviglio, a pretty town on the Naviglio Grande canal. Lessons will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm. You will have to go to the kayak centre early enough to change and get ready. After that, the small group of 4-6 participants will be taken over by the instructor who will conduct the 50-minute lesson.
During the month-long course, you will learn the theoretical notions necessary for kayaking and, above all, you will practise. You will practise paddling techniques, in the current and against the current, learn and refine the correct movements and positions, navigate in a single kayak, but you will also gain experience with a crew, so that you can get a taste of the discipline at 360 degrees.
At the end of the course you will be able to steer the kayak completely independently, in both flat and rough waters. If you are enraptured by the world of paddling, you can get advice from the instructor on the best way to improve your technique and continue with intermediate or advanced lessons.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is of an easy level. No previous kayaking experience is necessary. The minimum age is 15 years.
Other information
The kayak centre is equipped with showers, changing rooms and safe deposit boxes.
The course consists of a total of 8 lessons held every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm, unless otherwise indicated by the instructor.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
