Lesson and horse riding around Reggello

The recipe for getting into horse riding? Easy, lesson and horse riding!

Once you have learnt the basics of horse riding during a 30-minute lesson, you will ride for 1 hour in the natural setting that frames Reggello. All this in the company of an equestrian guide, who will lead you on horseback in total safety.

The right dose of ingredients for a first horse riding experience, the first of many!

What we will do

I will be waiting for you 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Reggello (FI). Welcoming you to the estate will be me, your equestrian guide!

Having gathered all the participants, I will introduce my beloved horses and assign you the one best suited to your physical characteristics. We will enter the enclosure where the riding lesson will take place and I will help you get on the saddle with English riding. Over the course of 30 minutes, I will teach you the basics of the discipline: how to start, how to brake and how to direct the horse; you will understand that your every action corresponds to a positive reaction from the horse.

Once we have gained confidence in the saddle, we can set off on our horseback ride. We will undertake a ring-route on path and dirt track, riding through olive groves, vineyards and woods; we will then reach a vantage point with a view of the Valdarno and the Villa Medicea of Mandri. For the entire ride, I will lead you on foot with a lunge that I will loosen until you are in full control of the horse!

We will then return to the meeting point. The horseback ride will last 1 hour; the total experience will last 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for children from the age of 3; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult on the estate.

A maximum weight of 110 kg is required to participate in this activity.

This excursion is of an easy level and suitable for a first horseback ride: the equestrian guide will lead you on foot with a lunge, which he will loosen at his own discretion until you have fully mastered the horse. If the guide verifies that you already have experience on horseback, he or she will lead the walk in the saddle and you can follow it independently.

Attention! After booking, contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to inform him/her of the height and weight of each participant; these details are used to assign you the best horse according to your characteristics.

The experience is available from January to December. Thetime of the experience may vary according to weather conditions at the guide's discretion. The duration of the experience may vary depending on the number and experience level of participants.

There is free parking on site. Please note that it is necessary to drive 1.9 km along a dirt road to reach the estate. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

Any accompanying persons may follow the walk free of charge or remain on the estate at their leisure. Leashed dogs are allowed on the estate but not on the walk; please note that there are other dogs on the estate, so please muzzle any aggressive dogs.

Digital photos taken by the guide during the excursion will be shared with participants via smartphone.
