Full description
Get ready for a unique experience in the green Tuscan countryside.
After an initial lesson and introduction to the horse, you will climb into the saddle to discover the hills surrounding Montaione, in the province of Florence, on a one-hour ride.
You will ride among vineyards and olive groves, in a fairy-tale landscape that you have only seen on postcards. It will be an opportunity to get to know these fascinating animals up close and discover your vocation for adventure!
What we will do
We will meet in Montaione (FI), at a ranch in the heart of Tuscany, at the time chosen for the activity.
After the welcome, we will have a first half-hour approach to the horse, where we will learn the basics to face the ride calmly. Our guide will teach us American riding and how to handle some common situations, such as what to do if the horse stops, how to turn around, restart and get around any obstacles.
Once the theoretical part is over, we will begin our one-hour walk, which will take place entirely within the farm property. We will have 200 hectares of unspoilt nature and fairytale landscapes to explore.
We will walk along country paths, cross a wood and skirt a small lake, completing a ring-route of about 2 km of ascents, descents, rocky stretches and dirt tracks, immersed in the hilly landscapes between Florence and San Gimignano.
The activity will conclude with a return to the ranch and will last a total of 1.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, including beginners, from the age of 14.
Minors must be accompanied to the ranch by an adult, who need not take part in the activity.
The maximum permitted weight is 90 kg.
Other information
The activity takes place all year round, every day except Fridays.
The type of mount used is the American one.
Any accompanying persons may stay at the facility during the activity or take a walk along the trails on the estate. Dogs are allowed, provided they are kept on a leash.
The riding school cannot be reached by public transport.
