Full description
Have you never tried horse riding? Then this is the right experience for you: you will discover the world of horseback riding with a ride in the Pisan countryside.
You will learn to get in tune with this proud and faithful animal and you will learn the main riding techniques while enjoying the wonderful Tuscan landscape in serenity and safety.
To end the experience in the best possible way, you will be served a tasting of typical products. Get ready to saddle up, your horse is waiting for you!
What we will do
The meeting point is at the riding school in Calci(PI) where the horses and guides will be waiting for us. After a brief explanation on the course of the experience, we will begin to approach the horse, get to know it, and when we are ready, we will be able to mount the saddle. This will be followed by a lesson in the field, so that we can learn the main riding techniques, and once we have learnt how to lead the horse, we will be ready to start our ride to discover Valgraziosa.
Leaving the stables we will enter the forest, one of the rare remaining examples of Mediterranean relict forest. We will ride along the stream until we reach the ford , which we will cross while remaining in the saddle. We will then take an ancient path leading to the abandoned convent of Nicosia. Finally, we will reach the Certosa di Calci, a wonderful historical and cultural heritage site.
After about 1 hour of riding, we will return to the stables. If you have chosen the"ride + aperitif" option, you will toast this experience with cold meats, cheeses, bruschetta and drinks. Until the next ride!
Who it is aimed at
The experience is for everyone, but is particularly suitable for those who have never ridden a horse before. To do the activity, you must be at least 14 years old and weigh less than 90 kg.

This activity can be carried out all year round, subject to weather conditions and guide availability.
Thetimetable may vary depending on the weather or organisational requirements of the riding school. You will receive a confirmation from your guide before the activity takes place.
Important: You must arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes in advance.

A shuttle service within 30 km is available onrequest(max. 6 persons). The cost varies according to distance: contact the organisers after booking confirmation to arrange this option.
