Mini-Raft Classic in Valsesia

Set out to conquer the rapids of the Sesia aboard the Mini-Raft for an experience of pure fun and adrenaline!

The Mini-Rafts are very stable and manoeuvrable 1- or 2-seater canoes that you can ride independently in the company of your friends. A qualified guide will follow you in the kayak, showing you the best route to take and assisting you on the most challenging passages.

Thanks to their size and special manoeuvrability, mini-rafts are also suitable for periods with reduced river flow.

We offer you a descent down a very suggestive and exciting stretch suitable for everyone, beginners and experts alike. It is the descent of a part of the river stretch that has become famous for rafting descents. From Balmuccia to Vocca or from Vocca to Varallo, with an infinite number of rapids with evocative names (Trancia, Ubriaco, Igloo, etc.) that will satisfy everyone, beginners and experts alike.

What we will do

Once we reach the meeting point, we will provide you with all the equipment and proceed to get dressed, wearing a wetsuit, waterproof jacket, helmet and life jacket.

Before the actual descent, the guide will give a theoretical-practical lesson, first on dry land and then in calm water, so that all participants will know how to tackle the descent safely.

That said, off we go!

We will launch ourselves in a stretch from Balmuccia to Varallo for two hours of pure adrenaline. There are plenty of rapids, exciting but not dangerous; fun is guaranteed! Throughout the activity you will be accompanied by experienced F.I.Raft Level V guides.

When we reach the final point of the descent, we will take the minibus back to the centre for a hot shower. In all, the activity, including transport, dressing and theory lesson, will take 3 hours.

In case the water level is low, we will move on to the "Le Gole Del Sesia" section, which is just as fun and suitable for everyone!

Who it is aimed at

Participation does not require any special skills, only good physical condition, being able to swim and being 12 years of age or older. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Other information

Like all river activities, rafting is subject to the river's hydrometric conditions and therefore the descent will only be confirmed if the water flow is adequate for the activity to be carried out safely.

Our Centre provides all the necessary equipment and technical clothing. The Monrosa Centre is recognised by the Italian Rafting Federation (F.I.Raft) and only qualified guides operate in the Centre. We are equipped with state-of-the-art rafts and equipment that can easily accommodate large groups.

It will be possible to request a photo and video service (shared via memory stick) at a cost of €35 per raft, which can be paid for directly on site. Alternatively, it is possible to rent a GoPro for the same price to shoot video of the experience.

We are in a very convenient location for organising all the activities on the river, so the time needed for travel will be very minimal. At the base we have a large green area equipped with picnic tables, barbecue, bar, beach volleyball and five-a-side football pitch. We also have a space for pitching tents, with toilets and hot showers.

In accordance with the regulations for the containment of Covid-19 infection, a maximum of five people plus the driver can be transported on the minibus, so that the necessary spacing is guaranteed.
