The best trips to tackle on the Sesia River
Among the various rafting trips in Piedmont, along the Sesia we find the scenic 10 km route from Balmuccia to Varallo, in the heart of Valsesia. Those who are novices and want to become familiar with this activity can choose the shorter route from Balmuccia to Vocca or from Vocca to Varallo. When there is not enough water to do the activity, we move to the Sesia Gorge, which is popular for its high granite walls and water features created by the current.

Among the best rafting routes in Valsesia we find the one from Balmuccia to Varallo. Following the currents, you challange numerous rapids with distinctive names (Slalom, Drunk, Igloo etc.), all while admiring by the mountain peaks that border this famous valley. We went on a rafting trip at the start of August. Despite the low water levels, it was a thrilling adventure. We were assigned a guide called Pino, who was professional and very calm, and who really made it an unforgettable experience for us.

Fantastic experience. Fabulous weather, wonderful guides, very knowledgeable and experienced. If it were more aqua it would certainly have been top, however, for that you can't do anything about it. However, for a first experience, it was probably for the best. Anyway, a Sunday well spent. I would definitely recommend it.
