More than 3, 000 centuries-old olive trees and a story to tell: this is the story of the Terra Surti farm, located in the spectacular landscape of the Iblei Mountains.
During this guided tour of the oil mill , you can walk through the olive grove, discover how the olives are harvested using a virtual reality simulator , and admire the entire production process that produces an oil with a harmonious and aromatic flavour.
A journey between nature and tradition that will end with an oil tasting, enriched with typical local products (which you can turn into a real brunch! ).
What we will do
The meeting point is 15 minutes before the indicated time at the olive mill located in Sortino (SR), in a picturesque valley on the slopes of the Monti Iblei.
We will be welcomed by the guide, after which we will immediately move to the olive grove (which everyone will reach in their own car) . Here we will begin a relaxing walk among the olive trees, while we listen to the family history of the olive oil farm and the traditional cultivation techniques handed down through generations.
After about 45 minutes, we will return to the oil mill, where we will visit the production room and discover the modern machinery and advanced technologies used to maintain the quality of the oil, followed by a virtual reality experience that will make us relive the harvesting and processing of the olives as if we were doing it ourselves!
Following this, we will conclude with an extra virgin olive oil tasting that includes a tasting of plain and flavoured oil, accompanied by Sicilian bread, olives, seasoned cheese and sausage, and bruschetta with typical pâtés, along with a glass of local wine.
It is possible to choose the tasting + brunch variant, which also includes starters, main course and dessert, accompanied by two glasses of wine.
The experience will last a total of about 1½ hours for the basic tasting, up to 2 hours with the brunch.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 persons. Attention! In the event of bad weather, the activity may only take place indoors.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
