One-day kayak excursion to Murano

Discover Murano from a unique perspective, by kayak!

Paddle to thisisland in the Venetian lagoon, famous for its glassmaking, on a6-hour excursion with an expert guide.

Admire Murano and its architecture from the water, then disembark for a walk ashore amidst typical Venetian glassworks and cicchetti (glass snacks). Paddle in hand, off you go!

What we will do

We will meet in Campalto (VE), 15 minutes before the indicated time, and meet our guide. After receiving our equipment, we will participate in an introductory briefing of about 30 minutes, to learn basic paddling techniques and get familiar with the kayak.

We will then take our places in our individual kayaks, paddles in hand, and begin the crossing to the island of Murano. The journey will be an opportunity to admire the surrounding landscape, with the water reflecting the beauty of the sky and the outlines of the islands emerging on the horizon.

Arriving in Murano after about an hour and a half, we will descend to a quiet park, where we can relax for a while before exploring the island. Here we will have time to stroll around and discover the unique atmosphere of this place, famous for its ancient tradition of glassmaking, which has fascinated artisans and visitors from all over the world for centuries.

For those who wish, there will be the opportunity to enjoy an aperitif with typical Venetian cicchetti and Spritz(optional and not included, approx. €10 per person to be paid on site) or we can rest and recharge our batteries as we discover Murano step by step. During the stop we can also take memorable photos with the backdrop of Venice and the lagoon.

Once the visit is over, we will return to our kayaks for the return trip to Campalto, which will take another hour and a half, for a total of 7 km. The return trip will be a magical moment, especially if done at sunset or at night.

The total duration of the activity will be 6 hours, including approximately 3 hours of paddling.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for ages 14 and up. Minors may participate alone in the activity by presenting a release form signed by a parent or responsible adult.

Itis not necessary to know how to swim or have previous kayaking experience, but good aquatic skills are required.

Other information

The activity takes place from March to November and is confirmed with a minimum of three people.

The excursion takes place in single kayaks, which are more easily manoeuvred by beginners, but double kayaks are also available on request.

No changing rooms or toilets are available at the meeting point. Participants will be provided with one waterproof bag per person to store their personal belongings.

Guides will take photos during the tour, which will be shared with participants via download links.

Dogs are not allowed to participate in this activity.

The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
