'But how beautiful it is to walk around the hills of Bologna'. How many times have you heard and hummed the verse of this song, and still not known the famous hills of Bologna? The best way to discover them is to cross them on foot, appreciating the beauty of the meadows, cultivated fields and some architectural complexes surrounded by nature.
You will admire Bologna from the top of the gentle slopes that "embrace" it and the local guide will lead you to discover the most authentic places, telling you about the history and traditions of an area and a city rich in culture.
Walking along scenic ascents and descents, you will encounter views that will reconcile you with yourself and your surroundings. Get your camera ready and join us!
What we will do
We will meet in Bologna in front of the Sponghi bakery, where we will stock up on delicious focaccia and snacks for the excursion. We will meet the guide and the rest of the group and set off outside the city limits. Our first stop will be the Complex of San Michele in Bosco, an ancient monastery with a splendid terrace from which we will be able to admire the first bird's-eye view of the capital of Emilia.
From the monastery we will move on to another hill, home to the Villa Ghigi park, a historic residence set in 28 hectares of paths, meadows and cultivated areas. Crossing the park far and wide, we will reach the highest point of our walk, where we will have access to another stupendous view.
At a certain point of the itinerary, before descending back towards Bologna, we will stop in the shade of the trees to rest a while and admire from afar the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of San Luca, an imposing monumental complex located on top of a hill and completely surrounded by greenery.
The activity lasts 3 hours in total, for a trekking route of 10 km with an altitude difference of 350 m.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an intermediate level, suitable for anyone who is in good health and used to long walks, including steps and uphill stretches (which may be slippery when the weather is rainy). Children aged 8 and above who are used to long walks can also participate.

Attention. Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the start time of the activity.
The activity is bookable from March to October and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
