Private hot-air balloon flight over Siena and the Crete Senesi

Once you have climbed into the wicker basket, the wind will become your guide, taking you on a unique and unrepeatable journey through the sky, where you will discover Siena's palaces, small villages, isolated farmhouses and long rows of cypress trees.

Upon landing, a delicious refreshment with a bottle of prosecco and snacks will be waiting for you, a worthy conclusion to this unforgettable experience.

What we will do

We will meet at the appointed time at the take-off point near Siena. We will welcome you and accompany you to your private hot-air balloon and, with the first light of dawn, we will start inflating the balloon.

When everything is ready, we will hold a briefing in which we will give you some instructions on how to enjoy the experience safely, and then we will enter the wicker basket one by one.

Once up in the basket, the wind will choose the direction of our journey through the sky, which is why each flight is unique and unrepeatable. Depending on the wind conditions, we will be able to admire from above all the palaces that make Siena the medieval city par excellence.

We will also be able to admire the Crete Senesi, a lunar landscape with hills and depressions. Looking out from the basket we will see small villages, isolated farmhouses and long rows of cypress trees. After about one hour of flight, it will be time to land.

At the landing point, you will find a table laid with a refined mise en place. On top, you will find a bottle of prosecco in a silver-plated ice chest, crystal glasses with which to toast the experience you have just had, and some snacks.

Finally, our staff will take you back to the take-off point in a private Land Rover Discovery jeep, while the crew deflates the balloon. The total duration of the experience, including briefing, balloon inflation and refreshments will be 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone over 130 cm tall. Theminimum age requirement is 8 years.

For safety reasons, flying is not allowed for pregnant women, people with reduced mobility or injuries that prevent them from moving independently in and out of the wicker basket, people with heart problems, and people who have recently undergone invasive surgery.

Other information

The flight takes place every day of the year, weather permitting. The landscapes that can be seen during the flight may vary, as the direction of the balloon trip depends on which way the wind is blowing.

Thetake-off time may vary depending on the period chosen. The day before the activity, you will receive confirmation from the pilot of the time and place of rendezvous.

You may carry small items on board in a pouch. Backpacks and large cameras are not allowed, but it is possible to film with smartphones and small cameras.

The hot-air balloon can carry a maximum of five participants.

Animals are not allowed on board the hot-air balloon.
