Full description
Enjoy the wonder of a trip in the sky above the Umbrian countryside and the Martani Mountains. Take flight aboard a hot-air balloon for anexclusive experience to be shared only with the most special people.
The flight will last about 1 hour, taking off from Assisi or Montefalco (PG): together with an expert pilot, you will admire the green expanses, wooded slopes and small villages that characterise the Umbrian landscape.
Afterlanding, a refined picnic will be set up for you: you can toast with prosecco and snacks and celebrate this unforgettable day.
What we will do
We will meet at the take-off point near Assisi or Montefalco (PG), at the time and place we will inform you of before departure. We will immediately accompany you to your private hot-air balloon and you will be able to watch the inflation of the balloon at first light.
When everything is ready, we will hold a short briefing in which we will give you a few pointers on how to enjoy the experience in total safety and peace of mind, then we will enter the wicker basket one by one.
Once at altitude, we will begin our journey through the Umbrian countryside, with the profile of the Martani Mountains in the distance. This mountain range crosses Umbria from north to south, with gentle elevations of no more than 1,200 metres. The wind will decide the direction of our flight, which is why each hot-air balloon experience is unique and unrepeatable!
Depending on the take-off point and the direction of the wind, the landscapes around us will change. We can admire the villages of Assisi and Montefalco, with their characteristic monuments, or fly over the vineyard-covered hills of the Sagrantino area. Below us will flow cultivated fields, farmhouses and country roads.
After about an hour's flight we will prepare forlanding. To celebrate this special day you will find delicious refreshments waiting for you, served on a table laid with refined mise en place. Crystal glasses, a bottle of prosecco in a silver-plated ice cube holder and tasty snacks will make your toast absolutely perfect.
Finally, you will be driven back to the take-off point in a private Land Rover Discovery jeep, while the crew deflates the balloon.
The total duration of the experience, including briefing, balloon inflation and refreshments, will be 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone over 130 cm tall. Theminimum age requirement is 8 years.
For safety reasons, flying is not allowed for pregnant women, people with reduced mobility or injuries that prevent them from moving independently in and out of the wicker basket, people with heart problems and people who have recently undergone invasive surgery.
Other information
The flight takes place every day of the year, weather permitting. The landscapes that can be seen during the flight may vary, as the direction of the balloon trip depends on which way the wind is blowing.
Thetake-off time may vary depending on the period chosen. The day before the activity, you will receive confirmation from the pilot of the time and place of rendezvous.
You may carry small items on board in a pouch. Backpacks and large cameras are not allowed, but you can take your smartphone and small video cameras on board.
Animals are not allowed on board the hot-air balloon.
