Full description
Celebrate aspecial occasion in a truly unforgettable way: a private hot-air balloon flight over the Tiber valley, amidst archaeological remains and enchanting Apennine landscapes.
You will fly over the Sabina hills, river terraces on the Tiber and thearchaeological site of Otricoli in the direction of the countryside surrounding the capital.
On board the hot-air balloon just you, the pilot and the people with whom you wish to share this wonderful experience!
What we will do
The meeting point is in Otricoli, not far from Magliano Sabina. You will fly early in the morning to take advantage of the best wind conditions and cooler temperatures that allow the hot air balloon to take off with ease.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the pilot and ground crew and watch the hot air balloon being prepared. You will then board the basket and be ready to take off.
The balloon's course will be decided by the currents of the day and , although the pilots' experience can predict it, it will never be exactly programmable: that is also the fascination of hot air ballooning, relying on the wind!
In any case, you will fly over the Tiber valley, in the Otricoli and Sabina hills, an area characterised by pre-Roman archaeological remains and hilly landscapes of great natural beauty.
We will fly from 40 to 60 minutes, reaching an altitude of approximately 500 metres, but also flying lower so as to skim the leaves of the trees!
On arrival, the crew will be waiting to take us back to the starting point by jeep, but only after we have finished with a toast and a taste of local products! The experience lasts a total of about 3.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and open to everyone from 8 years of age upwards and with a minimum height of 120 cm. No special requirements are required, other than a good state of health.
Pregnant women, heart patients and those with walking problems are not allowed to fly.

Attention! Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of the activity.
This activity is exclusive and is intended for private groups of 2 to 12 participants. If weather conditions are favourable, the flight can take place at any time of the year.
Dogs are not allowed on board the hot-air balloon.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
