Have you been relaxing on the beaches ofElba? Now it's time to discover its wilder face.
Hop into the saddle of a quad bike and get ready to experience a 2½-hour adventure to discover the fascinating Capoliveri Mines, among dirt tracks and spectacular overhangs.
Your guide will lead the way along the 20 km route, ready to reveal the secrets hidden among paths and ancient tunnels. Ready to go?
What we will do
The appointment is in Capoliveri, at least 30 minutes before the time chosen in the booking phase. Our guide will be there to welcome us, ready to hand over our helmets and quads. But before setting off... a practical test in the car park is waiting for us to get familiar with the vehicle and immediately feel in control of the adventure.
After a quick but fundamental briefing, in which the tour stages and safety rules are explained, we set off: ready to dive into the history of the Island of Elba.
The first 20 minutes will be on an asphalted road, then the real show will begin: a dirt track through the Tuscan Archipelago National Park, among ancient paths and incredible views.
Along the way, we will make four strategic stops of about 10 minutes: perfect moments to admire the landscape, take photos... and listen to the fascinating stories of the guide, who will tell us the history of the ancient Capoliveri mines. Among the highlights, we will also visit the Mining Museum and the extraordinary Ginevro Gallery, a place suspended between rock, memory and suggestion.
We will conclude the tour by returning to the starting point, after about two and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be at least 18 years of age and have a B licence, even if he/she is a novice driver. Foreign licences are also accepted if corresponding.
The passenger must be at least 6 years old and be accompanied by an adult.
Other information
The activity is available every day from May to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 quads.
There are 6 quads available, with a maximum total of 12 participants (6 drivers and 6 passengers).
During the excursion, driver and passenger can swap driving, provided both have a B licence.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport and there is free parking on site.
