Today, 5 September 26, my husband, my son and I tried out the quad bike tour at the Capoliveri mines. The morning was spent wondering whether the surprise I’d organised for my son would go to plan, I must say that in the end I enjoyed it too; we certainly would never have seen that road without this opportunity – partly because it requires permits, and partly because it isn’t tarmac-surfaced. What’s more, we learnt things we didn’t know about the island’s history. The tour doesn’t require any special skills, and the guide (Andrea) was very helpful, even with my son Lorenzo, who travelled back with him.

A fantastic experience!!nMy boyfriend and I had a brilliant time; you’ll be able to admire some breathtaking scenery throughout the whole tour.nThe tour of the mine was very interesting; the guide explained the history of the site briefly and concisely, yet always in an engaging way.nBring some bandanas and wear comfortable clothes!! You’ll come out a bit dusty, but that’s all part of the fun
