Full description
Val di Lima is a place that lies in the shadow of theTuscan Apennines, a genuine place full of surprises: mills, medieval villages, beautiful landscapes and the Lima torrent, the best river for rafting in Tuscany.
If you love nature, water sports and outdoor activities, you absolutely cannot miss the thrill of riding the rapids of the frothy Lima torrent on a rafting dinghy. The fun is guaranteed!
Accompanying you on this adventure will be an experienced guide. Together with her you will descend down the torrent through waves, splashes, inclines and stretches where you will challenge the rushing force of the water. If you want, you can experience the sensation of swimming in the current and dive from a rock over 5 metres high.
Ready for all this? Here we go!
What we will do
We will meet at Fabbriche Casabasciana, in Bagni di Lucca (LU). We will meet the guides who will provide us with the necessarytechnical clothing and equipment. After that, we will all move together to the boarding point and, before boarding the dinghies, we will have a briefing on basic behaviour and safety rules.
At this point the real adventure begins. We will descend along the course of the Lima torrent, starting from Cevoli to Bagni di Lucca and further on towards Chifenti. We will face a dynamic and eventful route, among clear, bubbling waters and smooth rocks, and we will always be surrounded by fascinating, unspoilt nature.
The activity lasts 3 hours in total, of which about 1 hour is spent descending in an inflatable boat over a distance of 4 km. At the end of the descent, the rafting centre shuttle will be waiting to take us back to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level. No specific skills are required and anyone in good health, aged 6 and up, can participate.
Other information
Attention! Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of the activity.
The activity takes place from March to May and from October to November and is confirmed when there are at least 4 participants.
The rafting centre is not equipped with showers, but it is possible to change and deposit one's personal belongings.
It is possible to agree with the organiser on the possibility of using the barbecue for grilling at the end of the activity, please let us know after booking!
