The Fontine rafting descent is a short but intense experience on the rapids of the Dora Baltea river, in the beautiful scenery of the Aosta Valley.
Get ready for an hour of adrenaline, fun and refreshing splashes of water. You will find yourself on a route that is suitable for everyone, but has numerous sections with exciting rapids.
Professional guides will accompany you during the experience, where you will have the chance to try your hand at paddling techniques and enjoy an unforgettable adventure.
What we will do
We will meet in Pré-Saint-Didier, in the Aosta Valley. Here we will meet the guides, who will teach us how to sit on the raft and paddle, giving us a briefing lasting about 15-20 minutes.
We will be given footwear, a long wetsuit and neoprene jacket to wear in the changing rooms, and a helmet and life jacket as safety equipment. Each team will be assigned a guide, who while still on land will help each member of the group perfect their technique and movements. When we are all ready we can embark.
The embarkation point for the Fontine rapids is exactly at the rafting centre. We will put our dinghy in the water and, after a few trials in the water... off we go! Our adventure will begin.
The Fontine rafting descent includes a short but intense section in which we cross rapids and big waves by paddle. It is a unique and fun experience amid splashing water and breathtaking scenery.
When we disembark, vans will be waiting to take us back to the base, where we can take a hot shower and use the changing rooms. The activity lasts about 2:30 hours, including 1 hour of actual rafting .
Who it is aimed at
The activity is of medium level and is aimed at everyone from the age of 16.
Other information
The activity takes place every day from May until September.
At the end of the activity we can view the photos taken by the photographer.
The equipment is disinfected after each use.
A lawn for picnics and a barbecuearea are available at the centre.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
