Discover the green heart of Umbria and experience nature up close with a fun rafting descent on the Nera river in the picturesque and lush Valnerina.
Grab your paddle, get on the raft and let yourself be carried away by the current in a marvellous natural setting, among rock walls, green meadows and dense vegetation.
Soft rafting is an activity suitable for everyone, even families with children, who will be able to discover river sports and spend a few hours in close contact with the environment, having fun in safety.
What we will do
We will meet at the rafting centre in Vallo di Nera, a small medieval village located in the heart of the Valnerina, in the province of Perugia. We will meet the guides who will accompany us in the activity and prepare to embark by putting on our wetsuits and the rest of our equipment.
Before entering the water, however, we will have a detailed briefing on basic rafting techniques and safety rules. The planned route is 5 km long and takes place on a stretch of the Nera River free of rapids and technical difficulties.
The route will be very pleasant in terms of scenery. From the dinghy we will be able to admire the lush nature that characterises this corner of Umbria and enjoy the experience in a relaxed and peaceful manner.
The activity will last a total of about 1½ hours, of which 1 hour will actually be rafting. At the end of the route, we will find a shuttle bus that will take us back to the base, where we can use the showers and changing rooms.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level. It is not necessary to know how to swim or to have previous experience. Families with children from 3 years of age can also participate.
Other information
Attention! Please arrive at the rafting centre half an hour before the departure time.
This activity can be carried out from April to September, weather permitting, and is confirmed when there are at least 4 participants.
At an additional cost of 20€ you can purchase photos and videos of the experience on an SD card (10€ if you provide the SD card).

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
