To go with this line of thinking, why not try a river trekking experience on the Ciuffena stream and have fun exploring the river’s course with an expert guide? You can follow the path carved out by the water and enjoy the plunge pools, waterfalls and natural pools!
You’ll see: all those overthinking thoughts will be left at the bottom of the river!
What we will do
Please arrive 30 minutes before the specified time at the meeting point in Loro Ciuffenna (AR).
Our guide will be waiting for us there and will provide us with all the necessary kit ( wetsuit and helmet) . Before we set off, we’ll have a short briefing to learn the safety rules and how best to navigate the rocky terrain.
Immediately afterwards, we’ll walk a short distance to reach the entrance to the canyon. We’ll enter the bed of the Ciuffenna stream, surrounded by the woods of Pratomagno, and set off on our adventure!
Along the way, we’ll make our way through passages carved out by the water over the centuries, past waterfalls and natural pools. We’ll walk along the riverbed and stop to take a few dips from heights of between 2 and 4 metres (optional) .
We’ll follow the flow of the water until we reach the village of Loro Ciuffenna, where our exploration of the stream will come to an end. From there, we’ll walk back to the starting point.
The activity will last a total of two and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for those aged 10 and over; those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
You do not need to be able to swim to take part in the activity, but it is recommended as there are short stretches of deep water. No previous experience is required, but you must be physically fit and confident on uneven or slippery terrain.
The activity is easy and ideal for a first-time river trekking experience.
Other information
The experience takes place from April to October and is confirmed once a minimum of five participants have signed up.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point is accessible by public transport.
There are no changing rooms on site, so we recommend arriving with your swimwear already on. Any personal belongings must be left in your car as there are no secure lockers available. Please arrive at the meeting point with only your car keys.
Dogs are not permitted during the activity.
Photos and videos will be taken during the excursion and will then be sent to participants free of charge.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
