River tubing on the river Piave in the province of Treviso

If you like doughnuts, you might take a bite out of this adventure!

No, we're not crazy: river tubing is a water sport that consists of descending rivers and streams aboard a floating inner tube-type doughnut .

Try this4-hour experience on the river Piave, in the province of Treviso: it won't be full of sugar, but it will be full of fun !

What we will do

We will meet at the rafting centre in Falzé di Piave (TV), 15 minutes before the indicated time, where we will be welcomed by our guides.

We will be provided with all the necessary equipment: wetsuit, water jacket, helmet, paddle and, of course, our tubing, an inflatable donut designed for descending rivers and torrents.

After dressing, we will spend a few minutes in a general briefing in which the guides will explain paddling techniques and safety rules. Before tackling the river current, we will do some trials on land and in the water to get familiar with our 'means of transport'.

Accompanied by two guides, one at the head of the group and one at the back, we will then begin our descent down the river, each aboard his or her own tubing. The Piave will give us sections of calmer current, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the view, alternating with faster, adrenalin-fuelled passages that will get the heart rate up!

During the approximately 7 km trip, the guides will involve us in fun water games and group moments. It will be an opportunity to laugh, collaborate and, why not, challenge each other in small competitions.

After about 3 hours of descent, we will conclude our adventure with the arrival in Colfosco. Here we will board a van which will take us back to the meeting point in 15 minutes, where we will have access to changing rooms, toilets and showers. If we wish, we can also stop for a picnic or barbecue outdoors in the space provided by the organisers.

The total duration of the activity will be 4 hours, including dressing, briefing, descent and transfers.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable from the age of 14. Minors must be accompanied to the venue by an adult, but can participate in the activity on their own.

Itis not necessary to know how to swim, but good aquatic skills are required.

The activity is not suitable for people with physical disabilities.

Other information

The activity takes place from April to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 people.

The rafting centre has changing rooms, toilets and a shower. Personal belongings can be left under lock and key in the changing room. Participants will be provided with a waterproof bag in which to store small items such as a mobile phone or a snack.

Guides will take photos during the descent, which will be shared with participants via download links.

Any accompanying persons can wait for participants at the rafting centre. Leashed dogs are allowed at the facility. A picnic or barbecue can be organised in the outdoor area of the facility. On request, the organisers will provide a grill and wood, while you will need to bring your own food and drinks.

The meeting point can be reached by public transport; there is a free car park and a pay car park on site.
