Full description
Tuck the mainsail, pull back the mainsail, jibe, adjust the backstay and tie up the deadhead. We're not being delirious, but starting to give you a smattering of the real sailor's vocabulary.
Now that you know the code language, all you need to do is book a3-hour introductory sailing experience in the Gulf of Tigullio!
Thanks to the advice of an experienced instructor, you will be able to take your first steps into the fascinating world of sailing.
What we will do
The appointment is in Rapallo (GE), 10 minutes before the time agreed upon at the time of booking.
Awaiting you will be your sailing instructor, who will have the task of introducing you to this fascinating discipline. The introductory sailing experience will take place on board a dinghy, a small sport sailing boat, ideal for taking your first steps as a sailor.
You will initially take part in an initial briefing of about 30 minutes to familiarise yourself with the boat and its various components. Once you are familiar with the first manoeuvres, it will be time to move onto the water.
If the wind is favourable, you will be able to start sailing immediately, otherwise the dinghy will be towed out of the harbour. Once in the open sea, you will learn the different gaits and how to operate the sail, thanks to the advice of your experienced instructor who, on board the dinghy, will communicate with you via radio.
Between a mainsail and a gybe (don't worry, these terms will soon make sense to you too), you will be able to admire the wonderful scenery of the Gulf of Tigullio in front of Rapallo.
The lesson will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from 18 years of age.
To participate, one must be able to swim and have good mobility.
Other information
The course is available all year round and is intended for private groups of up to 2 persons.
The lesson takes place on board the 4.20 metre long sailing boat Deriva Laser.
At the end of the experience, videos and photos will be shared via Google Drive with participants.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; parking is available on site.
