Full description
The fascination of the mountains, the fun of motors and the thrill of the snow: all this is snowmobiling!
From December to April, we organise daily fantastic half-hour excursions on board powerful snowmobiles starting from Madesimo and crossing breathtaking panoramas between the ski slopes and snow-covered forests.
Accompanied by an expert guide, this is the perfect activity to enjoy the mountains from an unusual point of view!
Each participant can bring a passenger at no extra cost, the participation fee is per snowmobile.
What we will do
The activity starts with a short briefing where the instructors will introduce you to driving the snowmobile. Once the explanations are over, everyone gets on their snowmobiles, and it's time to set off!
Starting from Madesimo, at an altitude of 1550 m, we cover the first section of our snowmobile excursion on a perfectly snow-covered track, marked and groomed daily by our snowcats.
The track winds its way through a marvellous panorama, initially through an impressive forest of fir and larch trees, past old huts, and then after intriguing ups and downs we reach an altitude of 2110 m.
We stop to admire the first "postcard" of our peaks: a strategic point offering the Val Chiavenna to the south with Madesimo in the foreground, to the west the Ferrè glacier dominating the Montespluga lake, to the north a rare green beola quarry and to the east the Bertacchi refuge.

Who it is aimed at
The excursion is suitable for everyone from 2 years of age.
A B licence is required to drive the snowmobile. No experience is required, but it is not recommended for pregnant women.

The activity is bookable from December to March.
The price is not calculated per person but per snowmobile. The price is for one snowmobile and two persons (example: 44 participants are spread over 22 double-occupancy snowmobiles).
The snowmobile carries two adults. Children and young people from 7 to 18 years of age are to be considered as passengers, i.e. they may only ride a snowmobile with one parent. Children up to the age of 6, on the other hand, can ride the snowmobile together with their parents, for a total of three participants per snowmobile.
Important: You must arrive at the meeting point 20 minutes before the time chosen for the activity! If you are late, you will be added to the next available excursion.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
