Full description
But who is the bearded vulture? It is one of the largest vultures in Europe, which has recently colonised the Gran Paradiso National Park.
And that's not all: by taking part in our 3-hour afternoon snowshoe hike , you can meet the chamois and other animals that inhabit this area. A hiking guide as well as a scientific researcher in the field of fauna will help you in your sighting.
Snowshoes on, poles in hand and off you go, following the shadow of the bearded vulture's flight for 5 km!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at 15:00 at the meeting point communicated at the time of booking, in Rhêmes-Notre-Dame (AO). After a briefing, I will hand you snowshoes and poles to complete your transformation into a snow adventurer. Nose up: a bearded vulture could be flying above us!
Once equipped, we will then be ready to embark on an itinerary of about 5 km in a larch forest, up to a gully (the classic Ru of the Aosta Valley). Eyes wide open: a chamois could be hiding in the trees!
We will descend along the slopes, following a circular route with a difference in altitude of about 200 metres. We will return to the starting point, always watched by the bearded vulture and who knows what other splendid animals that inhabit this area.
The experience lasts a total of 3 hours.

The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 10.
Other information
The experience is available from November to March on Sundays and Mondays and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 6 participants.
In the absence of snow, the activity can still be carried out but without the use of snowshoes. In this case, you will be notified in advance by the guide and you can agree with her whether to cancel or postpone the activity to a new date.
Dogs are not allowed to participate in the experience according to the Gran Paradiso National Park regulations.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
