Full description
Everyone you know goes skiing. You, on the other hand, put on snowshoes and enjoy the mountains without queuing for kilometres at the first ski lift!
Join a 3-hour snowshoe hike in Lessinia, among white glades, alpine pastures and traces of the First World War that make this plateau unique.
Enjoy this experience with the whole family and in the company of an Alpine Guide. And yes, it is much more relaxing than hitting the slopes!
What we will do
The meeting with the Alpine Guide is scheduled 30 minutes before 14: 00 at Malga San Giorgio in Bosco Chiesanuova (VR).
Here we will receive our snowshoes and poles and take part in a short technical briefing, perfect for those with no previous experience. The guide will teach us how to move safely in the snow and how to tackle the route with confidence.
Then, with snowshoes on our feet, we will be ready to go into the typical landscape of the plateau. We will snowshoe along an easy route that is also suitable for families, approximately 2 km long and with 100 metres of altitude difference. The itinerary will be defined by the guide according to snow conditions and the level of the group.
As we walk, we will be able to admire the panorama of the Lessinia peaks, including Monte Tomba and Cima Trappola. We will make a few stops to discover curiosities about the area: ancient malghe (shepherd's huts) , traces of First World War trenches and an environment rich in flora and fauna.
We will conclude the experience by returning to the starting point, for a total duration of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 9 and up. Minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.
The activity is of an easy level, perfect for families and those who want to do their first snowshoeing in an easy and safe environment.
Other information
The experience takes place from December to March on the dates indicated in the calendar and is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 10 participants.
