There are places where the snow seems to be put there on purpose to tell you: 'Come on, do something different today!
Passo Monte Croce (BZ) is one of those places! Here you can take part in a 5-hour snowshoe hike together with an environmental hiking guide, who will lead you along a 7 km route to Malga Coltrondo. You will see magnificent landscapes and, with a bit of luck, even some yaks!

What we will do
The meeting point is 10 minutes before 09: 00 at the meeting point in Sesto (BZ). Here we will meet the AIGAE Environmental Hiking Guide, who will welcome us and hand over the equipment: snowshoes and poles (included) .
After a briefing of about 10 minutes, during which we will put on our snowshoes and learn how to move in the snow, we will begin our adventure! We will walk a mostly flat route following the guide, who will set a slow pace suitable for a first experience. We will also cross a small stretch of untracked forest, perfect for giving the snowshoe hike a more fun and challenging note.
After about 1 hour, we will pass through Malga Nemes and continue on to Malga Coltrondo, where we will stop for about 1 hour for a packed lunch (not included) , which we can eat while trying to spot the mules and yaks that populate the area.
The way back will be easy, perfect for enjoying the view. The complete route is 7 km, with 350 metres of altitude difference, and will take us to a maximum altitude of 1, 950 metres.
The total duration of the experience is 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for 13 years and over. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
This is an easy level activity, perfect for a first snowshoeing trip.
Other information
The experience takes place from December to the end of March and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 5 participants.
Attention! Duration and itinerary may vary according to snow and weather conditions and participants' abilities, at the guide's discretion. In the event of a lack of snow, the activity will still take place, turning into a trek with a greater altitude difference.
On-site parking is available for a fee. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
Dogs on a leash are allowed.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
