Full description

What happens when you put snow, snowshoes and an Alaskan Malamute together?

Husky snowshoeing is an experience that combines nature, freedom and very special company. You will walk through the snow-covered woods of Val Genova, with a husky at your side and the Cascate Nardis waterfalls as your destination: an easy and scenic route offering spectacular views of the Brenta Dolomites.

An afternoon of fun for the whole family!

What we will do

The appointment is at 2 p. m. near Pinzolo, in the heart of the Brenta Dolomites. We will be welcomed by the guide, together with the real protagonists of the day: the Alaskan Malamutes.

After an introductory briefing and a moment to get to know the dogs, we will be given all the necessary equipment: snowshoes or crampons (depending on the terrain conditions) , harness and elastic rope that will tie us to our husky. He will accompany us for the entire walk, helping us uphill and turning each step into a team game.

We will set off along easy, level paths that penetrate into the Val Genova, one of the most evocative places in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park. The route will lead us to the spectacular Cascate Nardis (Nardis Waterfalls) , which in winter turn into an imposing, glittering wall of ice, set between fir trees and snow-covered rocks. The height difference is slight (about 150 metres) and the pace relaxed, suitable for families and children.

We will walk for about 1 hour and 20 minutes, surrounded by the silence of the snow and the deep breathing of the dogs. Every now and then we will stop to pet our companions, take photos or simply enjoy the view: the forests of the Val Genova, the Brenta Dolomites in the background and the white that seems to never end.

Finally, we will return to the starting point. Between briefing, preparation and hike, the experience will last about 1. 5 hours in total.
