Enter the fascinating winter landscapes of the Aosta Valley with asnowshoeing excursion to Lake Arpy, in Morgex.
You will walk on fresh snow through dense fir and larch forests, in the company of an environmental guide who will tell you many curiosities about thenatural environment and the various protected species that inhabit the area.
Prepare yourself for an extraordinary spectacle: the immense Mont Blanc massif will be the backdrop to the valley's marvellous frozen sheet of water.
What we will do
The meeting point is 15 minutes before 10 a.m. at the meeting point in Morgex (AO), where we will meet the environmental guide and prepare for the activity by wearing snowshoes (included in the participation fee, along with poles).
When we are ready, we will start walking along suggestive snow-covered paths, accompanied by the guide's tales, who will describe the natural environment in every detail. Along the way, we will appreciate the beautiful views of the valley and meet the wild animals that enrich the biodiversity of the place.
The walk will take us to Lake d'Arpy, a splendid sheet of water of glacial origin, set in a picture postcard landscape at the foot of Mont Blanc.
Before resuming the return journey, we will breathe in thepure, uncontaminated mountainair, contemplating theenchanting atmosphere of this little jewel hidden among the Aosta Valley mountains.
The activity lasts a total of about 3.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This snowshoe hike is of an easy level and is suitable for everyone from 5 years old and up.
Dogs are allowed, provided they are muzzled.

Attention! The location of the snowshoe hike will be confirmed a day or two before the activity takes place, depending on the best snow and weather conditions. Contact the guide the day before the activity to confirm the course and location.
Caution! The meeting point is approximately 12 km from the centre of Morgex.
The experience takes place from December to March and is confirmed when there are at least 10 participants.
The duration and itinerary may vary depending on snow and weather conditions at the guide's discretion.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
