Imposing peaks, snow-covered valleys, frozen lakes: with snowshoeing at Lake Arpy, you can immerse yourself in an enchanted atmosphere.
A walk in fresh snow is ideal for getting in touch with the unspoilt nature of the Alps and breathing in the pure mountain air. Majestic peaks will accompany your route and you will have an unforgettable experience in the company of an experienced guide .
By crossing the stupendous Vallon d'Arpy, on a gentle path with an altitude difference of about 250 m, you will reach the lake of the same name, which offers a privileged view of the Massif du Blanc. A breathtaking panorama that only the mountains can offer!
What we will do
The meeting point is 10 minutes before 10 a. m. in Morgex, about 30 km from Aosta. The guide will give the group all the information about the route and the use of snowshoes (included) .
After this briefing, we will get straight into the heart of the hike, taking the path that will lead us to Lake d'Arpy at an altitude of 2066 metres.
Lake d'Arpy is a splendid glacial lake, a few kilometres from Mont Blanc, set in a beautiful alpine context. The water is crystal clear, with iridescent shades from blue to emerald green and, like a mirror, reflects the surrounding peaks.
Following the stupendous Arpy valley on a path with a difference in altitude of about 250 m, we will reach the lake of the same name, which will give us a privileged view of the Massif du Blanc and the whitewashed conifer forests.
After a stop to admire the landscape and recharge our batteries, we will take the return route. The activity will last about 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from 8 years old and up. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Other information
The experience takes place every Saturday from December to March and is confirmed with a minimum of 8 participants.
Attention! The meeting point is approximately 12 km from the centre of Morgex.
The duration and itinerary may vary according to snow and weather conditions at the guide's discretion.
Leashed dogs are allowed, provided they are very docile and used to walking. If you would like to participate with your four-legged friend, please inform the guide after booking confirmation.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
