Full description
A strange thing happens on Monte Grappa: you walk sober, but the views make your head spin!
Join this snowshoe hike on the traces of trenches from the First World War and contemplate immense panoramas, from the Dolomites to the Lagorai and the Po Valley.
Experience 3 and a half hours of adventure in the snow, in the company of an Alpine Guide: an experience that will intoxicate you with its beauty!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before 9: 30 a. m. at the meeting point in Pieve del Grappa (TV), near Cima Grappa. An Alpine Guide will be waiting for us, ready to introduce us to the activity.
We will receive snowshoes and poles, included in the price, and attend a short pre-departure briefing: how to adjust the snowshoes, how to walk on the snow, how to best manage the route.
We will set off along the ridges of Monte Grappa, an open and panoramic environment with views of the Dolomites and the Lagorai group. As we climb, the landscape will widen to embrace the Po Valley and, on clear days, even the Venetian Lagoon.
The route will run along the ridges where some of the most intense moments of the First World War were fought: along the way we will be able to observe some remains of trenches in the snow. The route will be 6 km long with 400 metres of altitude difference; once the loop is closed, we will return to the meeting point.
The experience will last a total of 3½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
Participation is possible from the age of 6. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult; over 14s can also participate alone.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first snowshoe hike.
