Full description
Join us for a snowshoe hike in the Casentino Forests National Park, in the province of Arezzo. It will be your chance to cross snowy forests and admire breathtaking landscapes.
This experience will take you along nature trails towards Monte Falco, the highest mountain in the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines, and Monte Falterona near the source of the Arno river.
The trip will take place inside the National Park in total safety, together with a professional guide.
What we will do
The appointment is set according to the chosen snowshoeing time at Passo della Calla, on the border between Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna. We will be welcomed by an expert guide, who will explain the route in a quick briefing and give us a few pointers on how to use snowshoes.
The itinerary will take us to Monte Falco, the highest peak in the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines, Monte Falterona and the forests in the immediate vicinity. Along the way, the guide will also tell us stories and curiosities about these places.
There will be a stop to rest before resuming the walk in a landscape enveloped in peace and layers of white snow that will enchant us.
The hike lasts a total of 3 hours and ends with the return to the meeting point.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is aimed at everyone over the age of 12. Minimum walking training is required.
Other information
The excursion can be booked from November to March, depending on snow and weather conditions. All snowshoe hikes will take place on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) upon reaching a minimum number of 4 participants.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time of the activity and be punctual.
In order to be able to take outaccident insurance (optional) , you must send your social security number at least 48 hours before the activity is due to take place to the email address contained in the booking confirmation email.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
