Some people put their snowshoes on the nail... and others on their feet!
If you too are of the latter type, the 3-hour snowshoe hike in Valsavarenche is the perfect activity for you! An original way to explore one of the wildest, most remote and least known valleys in the Gran Paradiso National Park.
With a hiking guide specialised in wildlife research, you will be lucky enough to spot wild animals such as ibexes and chamois, but also to immerse yourself in the timeless atmosphere of this valley.
What we will do
We will meet in Degioz, in the province of Aosta, at the time indicated during the booking process.
Here we will find our guide waiting for us, who will give us a short briefing on the activity, followed by the handing over of snowshoes and poles (included in the fee). Sensitive, to pick up the slightest sign of animals in the vicinity, we will begin our snowshoe hike.
Together with the guide, we will walk along an itinerary of about 5 km through villages in Valsavarenche where it seems as if time has stopped. If we are lucky, we might catch a glimpse of ibex from the first moments of our walk.
We will walk a loop route suitable for everyone, with a difference in altitude of about 200 metres, and then return to the starting point after about 3 hours.

Other information
The excursion can be booked from November to March, depending on snow and weather conditions, and is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 7 participants (an alternative will be proposed if the minimum number is not reached).
Dogs are not allowed because the Gran Paradiso National Park regulations prohibit it.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
