Full description

Explore magnificent snow-covered trails in the winter nature of the Aosta Valley with asnowshoe hike in the famous ski resort of Pila.

Get in touch with the environment and enjoy a peaceful walk in the snow to admire an incredible panorama of Italy's highest mountains.

An environmental guide will accompany you along the itinerary and tell you about the most fascinating naturalistic curiosities to help you fully appreciate the beauty of the Alpine flora and fauna.

What we will do

We will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the arrival point of the cable car at Pila, in Gressan (AO), where we will be welcomed by the environmental guide who will hand over thenecessary equipment for the activity.

After a short briefing on safety rules and with snowshoes on our feet, we will set off along the most evocative paths in the area to walk in total peace and breathe in thecrisp mountain air.

Together with the guide and according to the preferences of the group, we will decide whether to follow the route to theGrivel Alp or to ascend further to theGrimmondet Alp. Both destinations offer an extraordinary 360° view of the valley floor and the 4000-metre peaks of the Aosta Valley, including Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, the Matterhorn and Gran Combin.

We will enter the enchanting fir forests, enveloped in silence and surrounded only by snow, far from the crowded slopes to remain in close contact with nature. In addition, the guide will describe the characteristics of the surrounding environment, making the experience interesting and unique.

The activity will last a total of about 3.5 hours and will end with the return to the starting point.
