Full description
Two experiences in one: a sunset snowshoe hike that turns into an evening hike.
What doesn't change is the natural setting of the Planaval Valley, one of the lesser-known valleys in the Aosta Valley. Embark on an itinerary of about 4 km at sunset and, once you have switched on your headlamp, venture out into the darkness.
At your side will be a hiking guide and scientific researcher in the field of fauna, ready to introduce you to the animals of the night. All this in just 2 hours!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at 17:30 at the meeting point communicated at the time of booking, in Morgex (AO). After a briefing, I will give you snowshoes and poles (included) to complete your transformation into a snow adventurer. We will walk together for about 20 minutes to reach the starting point of the trail.
In the sunlight, we will embark on an approximately 4 km-long itinerary in the Planaval Valley, one of the lesser-known valleys in the Aosta Valley. Step by step, the spectacle of the sunset will give way to dusk.
Our eyes will gradually get used to the darkness and, once the headlamp is switched on, we will continue our night snowshoeing in the company of the animals that inhabit the night. We will follow a 4-kilometre round trip with an altitude difference of around 100 metres.
We will return to the starting point after approximately 2 hours.

The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 10.
Other information
The experience is available from November to March on Thursdays and Saturdays and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 6 participants.
In the absence of snow, the activity can still be carried out but without the use of snowshoes. In this case, you will be notified in advance by the guide and you can agree with her whether to cancel or postpone the activity to a new date.
Dogs may participate if kept on a leash for the duration of the experience and if there are no allergy sufferers in the group.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
