Full description

To start the day on the right foot, this snowshoe hike is just what you need!

In the company of an environmental excursion guide, you will set off to traverse the snowy paths of the splendid Orobie Bergamasche Park, enjoying the silence and tranquillity that only the mountains can offer.

You will spend a morning snowshoeing until you reach Passo San Simone at analtitude of more than 2000 metres to admire the Val Brembana from above!

What we will do

The appointment is 15 minutes before 9.00 a.m. at the meeting point in San Simone, in the municipality of Vallese (BG). Awaiting us will be our environmental hiking guide, ready to lead us on this morning snowshoe hike!

Once all the participants have gathered, we will attend a briefing lasting about 30 minutes and we will be handed snowshoes and poles. We will set off from an altitude of 1721 metres, passing below Cima dei Siltri and admiring different types of landscape surrounded by majestic peaks, including Monte Lemma.

Along the way, there will be no lack of stops during which the guide will tell us about the most curious naturalistic and cultural aspects of the flora and fauna of the Orobie Bergamasche Park. We will finally arrive at the San Simone Pass, reaching analtitude of 2106 metres, where we will enjoy the panorama of the Val Terzera and the San Marco Pass.

On the way back, for those who wish, it will be possible to stop for lunch at a refuge (not included). We will finally return to the meeting point, after having covered 5.2 km with 406 m of altitude difference.

Thesnowshoe hike will last about 4 hours; the total experience will last about 5 hours (excluding lunch).
