Have you ever admired the sunset with snowshoes on your feet?
If the answer is no, you will be able to do so during this snowshoe hike in Valtellina! Walk in the snow for 3 hours through the woods and pastures of the Orobie Mountains, stopping at a panoramic viewpoint over the valley as the sun descends over the horizon.
In the company of a guide, you will switch from the afternoon light to the evening atmosphere: to experience simply magical moments!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time in the vicinity of Morbegno (SO) . The precise location will be communicated by the guide after confirmation of the booking.
After the meeting with the Alpine Guide, we will move with our own car about 30-40 minutes to one of the Orobie valleys, such as Val Tartano or Val Gerola, chosen according to the best snow and weather conditions.
Once there, we will prepare ourselves with snowshoes and poles (not included, can be rented on site) and participate in an introductory briefing. We will begin the snowshoe hike along a 6-8 km route with 300 metres of altitude difference, crossing snow-covered pastures and stretches of forest, with stops along the way to observe the landscape gradually opening up below us.
We will reach a vantage point with a view of the entire Valtellina, where we will stop to enjoy the sunset over the valley, when the lights of the villages begin to turn on and the sky is tinged with warm colours.
As darkness arrives, we will turn on our head torches(not included, they can be hired on site) and continue the walk in a cosy and silent atmosphere, until we return to the starting point. The duration of the experience is approximately 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone, even first-time snowshoers.
Children from 9 years of age can participate, accompanied by an adult.
The route has no exposed sections.

The activity takes place on the dates indicated in the calendar and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 7 participants.
Attention! The guide will inform you of the precise location of the snowshoeing after the booking has been confirmed, depending on snow conditions.
You are allowed to bring your dog with you during the activity, as long as it is on a leash, and muzzled if medium-large.
Equipment hire costs €13 (snowshoes and poles) or €15 (snowshoes, poles and head torch) and must be booked in advance by contacting the guide at the contact details given in the booking confirmation email.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; it is necessary to have your own car for the initial transfer.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
