Full description
Wander through the fresh snow amidst the beauty of the Aosta Valley on asnowshoe hike in Val Ferret, in the Courmayeur basin.
Together with an environmental guide, you will cross the valley floor, away from the crowds and in close contact with nature, and enjoy a spectacular view of the Mont Blanc massif with its imposing glaciers.
Get ready to experience the mountains up close, enjoy anatmosphere of peace and tranquillity and go in search of the animals hiding in the trees!
What we will do
We will meet at 10:00 a.m. at Planpincieux, in Courmayeur (AO). Here we will meet the environmental guide who will give us a briefing on safety rules and hand over the snowshoes and poles (included in the participation fee).
We will start walking along the valley floor, entering Val Ferret, at the foot of the most famous mountains in the Mont Blanc chain , including the Dent du Géant and the Grandes Jorasses wall with its glaciers. We will skirt the cross-country ski tracks and be surrounded by a breathtaking panorama, immersed in the white and silence of the snow.
Depending on the group's preference, we can either head for the Bonatti refuge, at around 2000 metres above sea level, or choose other variants in equally picturesque spots. The route will be about 5 km long between outward and return, with an altitude difference of 250 metres.
We will spend about 3.5 hours relaxing, breathing in the clean mountain air and always in the company of the guide's naturalistic tips, who will give us a high-quality experience.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is suitable for everyone from 5 years old and up.
Dogs are allowed, provided they are muzzled.

Attention! Please arrive at the meeting point approximately 15 minutes in advance.
This activity can be carried out from December to March, and is confirmed when there are at least 10 participants, weather permitting.
The location of the snowshoe hike will be confirmed a day or two before, after checking the snow and weather conditions. The meeting point will remain unchanged.
The excursion will be led by a specialised and exclusive Gran Paradiso National Park guide.
On the return it will be possible to have lunch at one of the facilities present (not included in the participation fee).
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; a pay car park is available on site.

If you have made a fixed-date booking and the weather conditions are not suitable for safely carrying out the activity (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be fully refunded. The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 31 days from the activity start date. Within 30 and 15 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
