Private snowshoeing in the Valle Maira with snack

The mountain, the real one, you breathe it here: in the snowy pine and larch forests of the Maira Valley, in the province of Cuneo.

An Alpine Guide will accompany you on the valley's most evocative paths, far from the hustle and bustle of the ski slopes, for a half-day snowshoe hike in the silence of nature.

Be prepared to put on your snowshoes. .. and for a delicious surprise on your return to the valley, where a merenda sinoira, the typical Piedmontese snack, awaits you!

What we will do

The meeting point is 15 minutes before the time selected at the time of booking at the meeting point in Borgata Brieis in the valley of Marmora (CN) .

There we will meet the Alpine Guide and, after a welcome coffee, attend a briefing on snowshoeing technique and the correct use of the safety kit (both included in the participation fee) .

Depending on the number of participants, training level and weather conditions, the guide will choose the most suitable itinerary, with an altitude difference ranging from 500 to 1200 m. In any case, we will move away from the busiest trails and into the unspoilt nature of the Maira Valley.

The activity will last a maximum of about 5 and a half hours (depending on the height difference) and will end with the return to the meeting point, where a merenda sinoira, the typical snack of the Piedmontese valleys based on cured meats and cheeses, will be waiting for us.

This activity is suitable from the age of 15.

Other information

This activity is bookable from December to April, subject to weather conditions and guide availability, and is exclusively for groups of 1 to 8 people.

The departure time may vary depending on the weather and the time of year. You will receive a confirmation from the guide the day before the activity.
